Hayfield Farm Heavy Horse Centre on the Ford and Etal Estate in Northumberland is a fascinating day's visit. The Centre which houses the British Heavy Breeds, the Suffolk Punch, the Shire, the Clysedale and the French Percheron Horses. is full of horse drawn vehicles and farm machinery.

Horse Racing - Kelso Racecourse, TD5 7SX

Kelso Racecourse is a thoroughbread horse racing venue situated in Kelso. The official website describes it as "Britains Friendliest Racecourse". It was voted Scotlands best racecourse in Scotland and the north of England in 2017, 2012 and 2014 by the Racegoers Club. The first recorded meeting took place in 1734 at Caverton Edge and Kelso Racecourseopened in 1822 and it is known as the Dukes Course. It is owned by Kelso Races, Ltd. www.kelso-races.co.uk.
